Clinical Case: Schistosoma haematobium Infection
A clinical case history of schistosomiasis in human diagnosed in the USA is here. The diagnosis in this case was S. haematobium. Left untreated, however, this infection could lead to the development of bladder cancer and/or kidney failure.

William Campbell along with Satoshi Omura was awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the application of Ivermectin against roundworm parasites.
